Understand the medical treatments that Aavantgarde has developed, interpret them and create illustrations to visualise them.

Create a detailed storyboard in collaboration with designers, adopting the style of the existing illustrations and demonstrate the look and feel of the animations and how the technologies have been visually interpreted.

Build the animation in constant collaboration with the client to ensure that movement is scientifically accurate and reflects what happens inside the eye during the treatments.

Create a brief for voice over artists and find the right voice, selecting auditions and shortlisting the best match for the project.

Source the right music track for the piece and mix audio.

AAVANTGARDE PLATFORM ANIMATION

To illustrate the breakthrough technologies that Aavantgarde is developing for vision-impaired patients, I was tasked with creating an animation for use on the client’s website and at conferences.

The Challenge

Understanding the medical treatments that Aavantgarde has developed, in order to visually interpret them and create illustrations to visualise them.

The Task

Create a detailed storyboard in collaboration with designers, adopting the style of the existing illustrations and demonstrate the look and feel of the animations and how the technologies have been visually interpreted.

The Solution

Built the animation in close collaboration with the client to ensure scientifically accurate movement that reflects the treatment process inside the eye, while simplifying a complex message.

The aim was to clearly demonstrate how Aavantgarde’s AAV-based large gene delivery platforms work, using the illustration style and medical diagrams developed during the rebrand.

PLATFORM ANIMATION

In collaboration with the design team I handled the full animation process – from concept development and storyboarding, to creating new illustrations and diagrams, animating, sourcing and editing music, and directing voice-over talent to ensure the tone and clarity aligned with the brand’s messaging.
